Abbas Korejo is one of the most distinguished literary voices emerging from Sindh, Pakistan. Born in the historic town of Kamber, his pen has traversed cultures and continents — channelling the rich oral traditions of Sindhi literature into contemporary short fiction and critical research.
A prolific author in both Sindhi and English, Abbas has authored 8 books spanning short story collections, literary research and critical theory. His work "Our Own Earth" was honoured as the Best Book of the Year 2014 by the Sindhi Language Authority. His novel The Tree was nominated by the prestigious Sharjah International Book Fair, and multiple books have been launched in Dubai and at major literary festivals.
A Silver and Gold Medallist from the University of Sindh, Abbas is also a passionate cultural activist, entrepreneur, graphic designer, editor and community organiser — founding events and organisations that keep Sindhi heritage alive globally. The UAE government awarded him the Golden Visa in recognition of his outstanding literary achievements.
Beyond his literary work, Abbas is the founder of four business ventures across the UAE and Pakistan, co-founder of Sambara Events, and founder of the Jeejal Amar Trust in memory of his mother.
